"The other day, I was in Montreal and faced with a cooler of beers I'd never heard of. I picked a really random assortment, and when I started drinking them, I realized why beer snobs are a thing. There are so many ways to ferment hops and barley and they produce totally unpredictable flavors and levels of carbonation.
This is a map of 16 types of beer, what to pair them with, and what they taste like. Think of it as a "Cliffsnotes" to inform a burgeoning beer snob."

ABOUT THE IDEA
Information is more fun to read when it's beautiful. I've designed these charts and maps with hours of research, reassembling data into a brain-friendly aesthetic. I edit the information significantly, avoiding the "dazzle" effect which occurs when our eyes are battered with too much information. Letterpress makes it even more gorgeous.
ABOUT LETTERPRESS PRINTING
Letterpress is a very complicated and expensive printing method that I am obsessed with. All letterpress prints are slammed with 600 pounds of pressure, creating a deep, tactile texture.
